A report on what worked and what's next

A weekly report shows what worked and what didn't: it compares reach, watch time and reactions against the norm for this account and format.

The reach numbers are there, but nothing explains why a post worked. The client wants decisions backed by data, but there's nothing to compare the result against: market averages don't fit this account.

With Brandbass

  1. 01Metrics come into the system by hand, as a CSV file, or through the platform's API where one's available.
  2. 02Every post is compared with the norm for this same account and format. A Reel gets measured against this brand's past Reels.
  3. 03You can see separately how the execution performed, how the audience reacted and what the business got out of it. If data is missing, the report says so.
  4. 04The report comes in two versions: a full one with internal notes and a client one without them. The client version can be forwarded as is.

What a report looks like

A piece of the weekly report, in the client version, with no internal notes.

Report · Coffee shop · week
What worked
The “Coffee to go” Reel: watch time above this account's norm for Reels
What didn't
The “Weekly menu” carousel: reach below the norm for carousels
What to repeat
The close-up milk foam hook, above norm for the second time running
Next experiment
The same hook in Stories, not only in Reels

Under the hood

This account's own norm

The norm is built from this account's own history in this format. Outside benchmarks and market averages never enter the comparison.

Where numbers come from

A value entered by hand is marked differently from one pulled through the API. Incomplete data is flagged, and it doesn't wipe out the rest of the result.

Coincidence isn't the cause

The report never treats a coincidence as a proven cause. Every conclusion points to specific posts.

Can you actually trust these numbers?

The report shows where every number came from: typed in by hand, uploaded as a file or pulled through the API. If data is missing, the report flags it clearly. The comparison is against this account's own norm, not a market average. And it never calls a coincidence a cause.
